Description
Meticulously recorded at the legendary Stage A of Vienna Synchron Stage, this powerful string library renders your compositions with precise performances, expressive phrasing and lush, cinematic timbres. A wide range of articulations – from VSL’s acclaimed legatos and portamentos to tension-building tremolos, harmonics, and col legno – have been carefully optimized for the MuseSounds playback engine to deliver vivid, natural performances.
Whether you’re scoring an epic film cue, writing pop with a symphonic twist, or crafting a heartfelt ballad, these strings deliver the warmth, clarity, and cinematic presence you’ve been looking for. All ensembles were recorded using the same Decca Tree setup trusted in hundreds of first-class scoring sessions, blending seamlessly with other Vienna MuseSounds Editions such as Vienna Brass, Vienna Woodwinds, and Vienna Percussion.
14 First violins, 12 second violins, 10 violas, 10 cellos, 6 basses
It sounds amazing! I love how intuitive the software is and how rich the tone is. Truely lovely! Though I am running into a strange bug, whenever I select for it to play pizzacato right after I have it play arco, it refuses to play back pizzacato. Its just a software bug and doesn’t reflect on the product itself, though I’d love to see this fixed!

With slower pieces, when the strings are playing,, there is an annoying swell that the strings do when they change notes. Although Muse Strings do not have high quality solo sounds, the ensembles sound very sweet when playing sustains in slower pieces.
First of all, the quality of the recording is incredibly better than Muse, most notably in the Piano-Piano to Mezzo-Piano range. That alone is worth the cost, however, there are a few minor bugs. The strings, particularly the Violincellos and Contrabasses, have weird crescendo swells when entering another note on a sustain. It gets really irritating when there is a unwanted rise in the dynamics. Another thing is that that the Violins have some glitches between notes, sometimes playing much quieter, making a weird sound effect, or just not playing it at all. This does not happen very often though. The legato could be better, but it's good enough. Overall it is a very good library and even with the few bugs would highly recommend.
All in all, the only string library which sounds as good as or better than the Musesounds library, at least for my purposes. Agree with the others that the note repetitions should be fixed asap!
But still a couple of slight bugs, the repetitions do not seem to work for now.
Love these string sounds. They sound rich and realistic. There are a couple of bugs that need to be ironed out. This review is mostly for the developers to know what I’m hearing. Firstly, for repeated notes, the sound will cut out entirely between two notes of the same pitch. I’m sure this is just a bug, but I would recommend correcting this ASAP. Also, there tend to be some unnecessary swells at the end of longer notes which sometimes messes with the shaping of the music. Tone and quality are beautiful, just a couple of things to fix.

These have a very nice tone & excellent clarity. Balance is good although I like to push the 1st Violins slightly up in volume. Having these strings recorded totally dry allows much more flexibility when it comes to using reverb. There are a few minor quirks (somewhat choppy legato on faster string runs) in the initial release but hopefully these will be ironed out soon.
