Description
CinePerc is an absolutely mammoth collection of percussion instruments, covering the gamut of traditional orchestral percussion battery; a variety of world percussion instruments; larger-than-life sound design percussion and even small and unique percussion sounds - like a typewriter! Recorded at the MGM Scoring Stage at Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles, by master engineer Dennis Sands, this collection blends perfectly with the other libraries in the CineOrch series including CineBrass, CineStrings and CineWinds.
CinePerc Muse Sounds Edition is derived from Cinesamples’ flagship CinePerc CORE, PRO, EPIC and AUX libraries and utilises the full mix microphone position created by legendary scoring engineer Dennis Sands.
CinePerc Muse Sounds Edition makes extensive use of MuseScore Studio's stave text feature, allowing easy selection of sound variations (such as different instrument sizes, mallet choices or playing techniques) directly on the staff, without having to switch instruments. Staff Presets also create useful and score-friendly instructions presented in boxed-text above the staff, so the musician can clearly see the intent and sonic result you’re looking for, whilst you also gain more interesting and accurate playback.
if you prefer quantity over quality, this is great. altough it could use a bit more instruments and fixing some playback/engraving mistakes. i just beg yall to add a suspended cymbal roll and to be more consistent with engraving
The MuseHub update released Aril 17 2025 fixes the issue that was preventing users from downloading this library. It should now be safe to purchase.
after you purchase it, go back to muse hub, select library. Find where CinePerc is trying to download. You will see a pause button but perhaps no progress on download. Hit the pause button, it will tell you cant pause it. Click ok. and then repeat the hitting the pause button, and the okay button series and eventually you will see progress at some point. If it locks up downloading again, just hit the pause button and okay button until it starts downloading again. This worked for me.
forte piano only seems to work if you use a 32nd tremolo. Suspended cymbal is disappointing. There is a ton of instruments that sound great, some I have not even heard of! The only thing it is missing is other cymbals, like china and splash.
the sus cymbal rolls still dont work. please fix this ts rly pmo pls fix ts. I would really love to use the suspeneded cymbal in this pack instead of the basic musesounds one. I am begging, please fix the suspended cymbal rolls.
I love this pack by all means. It’s great. However, there’s no suspended cymbal rolls, and the bass drum sizes only show up as one when i open it in the sound library. Other than that, Great pack!
Great sounding library! Really grateful to finally have a detailed drum kit to play with. Only concern I have is that there’s no actual cross-stick sound with the kit, there’s only a rim-click (which has its uses, but def limits the kit just a tad.) Also some dynamic variances in the bass drum are tricky to play with, but over all fantastic!
Great selection of instruments and sounds. My only critique would be the lack of a suspended cymbal.
All the sounds are great! Unfortunately the drums have a tremolo problem. Only the 3 slash tremolo works as the 1 and 3 slashes sound very robotic and cracks the audio. But I if I want to tremolo a tied note over multiple bars, the hit restarts every measure. Only the trill with the long wavy line does I what I want it to sound but then it doesn't look efficient on the score.
Huge selection of instruments, amazing samples with variety. Some sounds might be slightly too strong, but thats a personal opinion.
